High Performance Type 1-3 Transmissions

Building a larger engine or running big tires on your VW? We recommend the Pro Street Transmission. It has stock gear ratios but it is beefed up with a Super Diff, HD Aluminum Side Cover, Welded 3rd & 4th Gear Hubs, Hardened Keys, Steel Shift forks.

Want a closer 3rd & 4th Gear? The Pro Comp transmission is for you. It has all of the strength upgrades of the Pro Street transmission but a close ratio 3rd & 4th gear.

Got a sand rail or buggy and you never get out of 2nd gear? You need to upgrade to the Pro Sand. It has all of the strength upgrades just like the Pro Street and close 3rd & 4th gears of the Pro Comp, but it also has a lower ratio ring & pinion so you can use every gear , everytime.

Building a race car? The Pro Drag transmission will get you down the track faster. It comes with a completely new chromoly steel gear stack for maximum strength and durability. It also has every upgrade possible for the Type 1 transmission.. You cannot get a stronger  Type 1 gearbox than this one. If you break this one you need to upgrade to a Bus box.

We also offer the Pro Street and Pro Comp Plus Transmissions. They are a beefier version of the regular Pro Street & Pro Comp. The come with a Superbeetle 1st Gear, Chromoly pinion nut or plate, Chromoly swing axles or Super Splines depending on the application.

Pro Street Transmission

Pro Street Transmissions come with a 4.12 Ring & Pinion. You can request a 4.37 Ring & Pinion for no additional charge.

 

HD Side Cover, Super Diff, Hardened Keys, Steel Shift Forks, & Welded 3rd & 4th Gear Hubs.

Pro Street Plus Transmission

Pro Street Plus transmissions  are our strongest Pro Street available.

They have the added strength of a 3.78 1st gear.

Klinkenberg 4.12 Ring & Pinion

A chromoly steel pinion nut or plate, depending on application.

Swing axle trans come with Sway a Way axles already installed.

IRS trans come with Super Stubs so you don’t twist the CV flange off.
